PRME Chapter UK & Ireland Seed-funded Research Workshop

 

Workshop title:

 'Responsible Management Education as Socialisation: a longitudinal study on the impact of undergraduate curriculum on students' values, attitudes, and intentions'.

 

Hosted by Coventry University, the workshop aims to bring together academics from PRME UK and Ireland Chapter to evaluate the effectiveness of Business Schools undergraduate curriculum in nurturing prosocial values among students. We will discuss and evaluate students’ awareness and understanding of responsible management as well as their decision-making tendencies. This workshop is part of the PRME UK & Ireland Chapter research funded project.

 

Venue: William Morris Building, room WM442, Coventry.

 Date: 3 December 2024, 10:00 - 15:00p.m (registration opens at 9.30am)

 

Places are limited to 30, and registration closes on Tuesday, 29 November 2024. 








PRME UK & Ireland Chapter's contribution to the Chartered ABS Annual Conference & Call for papers!

 

PRME UK & Ireland Chapter were well-represented at the Chartered ABS Annual Conference held in London this week. 

 

Our Chair Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas hosted an engaging breakout session titled ‘Responsibility and sustainability: New opportunities for UK business schools’ joined by Vice Chair Dr Laura Steele, EDI Lead Dr Mohamed Saeudy and Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter Courtney Holm. 


We continue our collaborative work with CABS and are delighted to share the Call for Papers for the 2025 Learning Teaching and Student Experience Conference to be held in Nottingham on the 19-20th May 2025.

 

The conference theme  "Nurturing Future-Fit Graduates" encourages contributions that demonstrate how business schools are using innovative pedagogy and teaching to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

 

Submissions to this theme might explore:

  • Sustainability, ethics, and AI

  • Digital literacy and emerging technologies

  • Experiential and immersive learning

  • Interdisciplinary education

  • Ethical leadership

 Call for papers! Conference Track: 'Innovating Pedagogy for Future Challenges in Management Education'.

 

PRME UK & Ireland educators may be interested in the conference track

"T01_09 / T06_09 – Innovating Pedagogy for Future Challenges in Management Education".

 

This conference track was proposed by Marina Schmitz, Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, Professor Petra Molthan-Hill, Dr Toloue Miandar, Dr Maria Pietrzak, and Professor Lisa Fröhlich co-sponsored by B4S and INNO SIGs for the European Academy of Management conference in Florence (22-25 June, 2025).

 

The track is a call to educators and leaders in management education to explore groundbreaking teaching methodologies designed to prepare future leaders for complex, real-world scenarios.

 

🎨📚 Contributions are encouraged that:

🔹 Explore diverse and arts-based pedagogies

🔹 Integrate digital innovations into learning

🔹 Address contemporary issues within curricula, like sustainability and ethical leadership

🔹 Highlight new teaching strategies that enhance futures literacy and adaptability

 

Deadline: The deadline for paper submission is 14 January 2025.
