NEW! Exciting PRME UKI & UNGC UK Internship Opportunity 🚀


As of September, our current intern, Manuela, will be stepping down as the joint PRME UKI - UNGC Network UK Intern, and will be off to a new adventure!


While we are sad to see her go, we are excited to announce that this position is now open!


We are looking for a dynamic Intern to support the UN Global Compact Network UK Participant Engagement Team and PRME Chapter UK and Ireland. This is a full-time, 6-month internship with the potential for extension or a permanent role.


About the Role:


  • Hybrid Working: Minimum 2 days/week in our London office.

  • Dual Reporting: Work closely with both teams, gaining a breadth of experience.

  • Engage in Various Tasks: From handling inquiries and due diligence to supporting PRME initiatives, creating content, and organising events.

  • Is an organised multitasker

  • Has strong content creation skills

  • Has excellent business writing and attention to detail

  • Is customer service oriented

  • Has event planning experience as a plus?

i5 Update from PRME UK & Ireland Chapter! 🚀


On Friday 5th July, our Chapter Chair and PRME Expert Pedagogy Group member, Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, led an impactful i5 Stage 2 workshop at the University of Plymouth. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees praising Natascha's ability to bring the content to life. The Business School with Plymouth University School🌱.


The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)’s ‘Impactful Five’ (i5) program is all about transforming leadership education by integrating cognitive, creative, emotional, social, and physical skill set training. In a world facing complex challenges, this holistic approach is more crucial than ever.

Join Our Exciting Workshop on Business and Society Research Development!

Are you aiming to publish impactful business and society research in top journals? Do you need expert feedback on your work in progress? PRME UK and Ireland, in collaboration with leading universities, invites early and mid-career scholars to our workshop series. The fourth workshop will be hosted by the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) at Nottingham University.


Workshop Highlights:


- Editors' Panel: Tips on publishing in leading journals

- Research Roundtable: Insights on emerging societal issues and methodologies

- One-on-One Mentoring: Intensive feedback from senior scholars

- Networking: Connect with academic experts and journal editors


Submission Details:


To apply to the workshop, you need to submit a work in progress paper that you are targeting for journal submission. Empirical papers (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and purely theoretical work submissions are both welcome.


Requirements: 8,000-10,000 word work-in-progress papers in business and society, especially those focused on the SDGs


Deadline: 10:00am (GMT), Monday 9th September 2024
