📝 SIP Reporting Deadline Approaching!


A key commitment for all PRME institutions is the regular submission of a Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) report, highlighting the implementation of the Seven Principles of Responsible Management Education. The SIP not only serves as a public integrity measure but also fosters stakeholder dialogue and strengthens our learning community. 🌍


The 2024 SIP reporting window is officially open! 📅 Don’t forget to submit your SIP by 31 August.

🌟Towards a Shared Southwest Agenda: PRME UK and Ireland Chapter Sandpit Event in Cornwall


Monday 9th September 2024, ESI, University of Exeter, Penryn Campus.


The University of Exeter invites you to the first-ever UN PRME sandpit event for Cornwall! 

This one-day event will gather higher education institutions across Cornwall to explore how business curricula can address regional skills gaps.


Expect engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and a collaborative workshop to co-develop an event series for the next 6 months.

📋 Deadline Extended to Today!  PRME-UN Global Compact collaboration Survey


A pan-Chapter PRME initiative is developing a report on best practices for building stronger collaborations between Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Chapters and United Nations Global Compact Country Networks. This will ultimately lead to greater societal impact and support for SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals .


We are inviting you to participate in a short (5-minute) survey exploring current practices for business school collaboration with UN Global Compact/ the Country Networks and businesses.


Your input is invaluable, and we especially encourage participation from business schools that haven't yet collaborated with the UN Global Compact or the Country Networks.

🎉11th RME Research Conference: Doing the Next Step and PRME DACH Chapter 10th Anniversary


We are thrilled to announce the 11th Responsible Management Education Research Conference, set to take place in the Berlin School of Business and Innovation from September 23-26. This year's theme, "Responsible Management Education between Transforming and Radicalising," aims to foster an open dialogue on how business schools can create a sustainable future. 


Key elements of the Conference include:


  • The PRME DACH Chapter will be celebrating its 10th anniversary, and is inviting members to share their memories with the Chapter by filling out this  form or send an email to prme.dach.chapter@gmail.com.

  • An exciting range of tracks including an i5 track ‘Transforming Management Education through the PRME i5 Pedagogies’. You can find out more about the PRME’s ‘Impactful Five’ (i5) initiative here. 


We invite you to submit your papers and join us in exploring innovative approaches to responsible management education.

Understanding and Engaging with the United Nations Global Compact

UN Global Compact Country Networks are business-led, multi-stakeholder platforms that work directly with businesses to help them implement the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 


Thanks to their local and regional expertise, UN Global Compact Country Networks are uniquely positioned to help companies understand what responsible business means within different national, cultural, and language contexts. 


November 2024 will see the launch of the UN Global Compact Ireland Country Network - a significant milestone in relation to the advancement of responsible and sustainable business. Untapping the Potential of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Ireland

SDSN Ireland is a North-South cooperative network focused on developing context-specific solutions and mobilising local action for the UN SDGs. 


Engaging universities, research centres, local authorities, NGOs, civil society organisations and policymakers, the Network seeks to bring the latest research to bear on producing solutions to the challenges within the SDGs and aims to empower individuals and organisations to achieve impact through education and engagement.

Join an Exciting Workshop on Business and Society Research Development!

Are you aiming to publish impactful business and society research in top journals? Do you need expert feedback on your work in progress? PRME UK and Ireland, in collaboration with leading universities, invites early and mid-career scholars to our workshop series. The fourth workshop will be hosted by the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) at Nottingham University.


Workshop Highlights:


- Editors' Panel: Tips on publishing in leading journals

- Research Roundtable: Insights on emerging societal issues and methodologies

- One-on-One Mentoring: Intensive feedback from senior scholars

- Networking: Connect with academic experts and journal editors


Submission Details:


To apply to the workshop, you need to submit a work in progress paper that you are targeting for journal submission. Empirical papers (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and purely theoretical work submissions are both welcome.


Requirements: 8,000-10,000 word work-in-progress papers in business and society, especially those focused on the SDGs


Deadline: 10:00am (GMT), Monday 9th September 2024
